Update Friday: Come Over to My House

Looked to the Beginner Books shelf for update inspiration this morning and was reminded of my Richard Erdoes love, Come Over to My House. (Every house must have a Beginner Books shelf along with one for Golden Books and another smaller one for Beatrix Potter and Golden Nature Guides. Seriously.)

So, please re-welcome this extraordinary post from 2008, updated for your viewing pleasure! Enjoy and have a great one. (And happy Battle of the Flowers if any of you kids live here in San Antonio!)

I have a memory of reading this with my grandmother and could not remember the title or author--just the images of an igloo and a little boy traveling around the world. Thanks so much! This has been on my mind for the past several years. Didn't know how I was going to find it.

Love this book -- the illustrations are great. I went looking for it recently, but it was such a fortune everywhere! My girlfriend has one, and I told her to take good care of it!

This was my absolute favourite as a child. A while ago I walked into a second hand bookshop and the first thing I saw was a copy - so of course I had to have it. I've recently seen it has been reprinted though after being out of print - in Australia anyway. My other favourite was Snow - which I haven't found a copy of yet.

I loved this book when I was a kid. I wanted so badly to live in a high rise with a tennis court on top. That seemed so amazingly cool!
