  4. We learned to love William Steig when we celebrated his birthday (NOV. 14) on our blog. We love Sylvester, DeSoto, and CDB! We didn't read this book though! I am sure it is fabulous. We didn't read a Steig book that we didn't enjoy.

    Thanks for hosting this contest!

  11. What a dream dinner that would be--Steig, Gandhi,Cleopatra and John Lennon. Maybe I could ask him to autograph the old tattered 1953 copy of 'The Steig Album' I inherited from a departed friend of many years--which includes 'The Lonely Ones' (a favorite) and 'Small Fry', 'About People'. 'the Agony of the Kindergarten' (another prize), ''All Embarrassed'. and 'Persistent Faces'. Maybe I'll be lucky and win this kids book so I can share his gentle humor with a little guy I know.
