Great Monday Give: Anno's Hat Tricks

Bronchitis and holidays have slowed me up a bit, but there's still plenty of Monday left. Up for grabs today is a like-new paperback copy of Anno's Hat Tricks. All you have to do to be entered to win this tricky book is comment on this post before 11:49 pm on Sunday night the 18th of July. Why am I doing another two-week give you might ask? Well, for one, my sister is turning 40 next weekend, so I'll be in the Big Apple assisting her over the hill. And for two, my own birthday is just a hop-skip-and-a-jump from there so why jam myself up, no? I will announce the winner on Monday, July 19 and all will be as it should.

Speaking of which.... the winner of last week's give of Where the Wild Things Are is Page Turner. Congrats and send me your info to webe(at)soon(dot)com and I'll get it out to you shortly. Again, speaking of which, my apologies to Caryn the Designer. Because of the aforementioned illness and holiday, things have been out of whack here this week so I never did get her package out... this week though, for sure.

I had never heard of this book, but the positive comments I've just found online have made me very interested in this and the other "Anno" books. Thanks for the chance to win this one. We'd love to have it! I hope everyone is (or soon will be) well in your household and that you enjoy celebrating your sister's birthday and your own later this month.

I adore this book. I really think there should be more books about logic for young readers!

I was once shown a copy of this book. The hardest logic puzzle in the book (or it might have been the second hardest) is my favorite puzzle (of that kind), though when I originally heard the puzzle it was about a rich man, his three sons, and blue and white dots painted on their foreheads.

I was once shown a copy of this book. If I recall correctly, the hardest puzzle in the book is my favorite logic puzzle. I originally heard a different version of the puzzle, framed in terms of a rich man, his three sons, and blue and white dots painted on the sons' foreheads.
