Great Monday Give: The Giraffe & the Pelly & Me

Morning all. We had an insane rain storm here over the weekend and my Internet has been in and out all morning. Whew. That said, I'll be out of town over the long weekend. (The boy and I are visiting my father... so watch out Indiana thrift shops, here we come!) And as such, I'll be extending this Great Monday Give for an extra week. So, without further yak yak, this week's give is a paperback copy of the just-reviewed The Giraffe and the Pelly and Me. A super excellent barely-loved copy. (Though the cover doesn't look like this because I was too lazy to scan it again.)

I finished up Dahl's Boy this weekend, and all I can say is if you wanna understand where his candy shop obsession came from, look no further. But anyways, I digress... All you have to do to be entered to win the must-have-for-every-child TGATPAM is comment on this post before midnight ~ October 18 ~ Sunday. A winner will be selected the following day and announced right here... right like I am getting ready to do now!

I took the easy way out this time and just picked the first commenter. So Anne, congrats because you are the proud owner of the old favorite, The Sailor Dog. To collect your booty, all you have to do is shoot me an e-mail at webe(at)soon(dot)com. But do it before Wednesday, or else you'll have to wait another week for your prize. Good day friends.

  5. Fantastic! I love all of Dahl's work. I recently bought a used copy of "The Twits" and re-read it. It's so funny, and it includes a family of monkeys getting back at a pair of mean people. It's so much fun!

  23. I've not read Dahl my kids, but your enthusiasm has persuaded me that that needs to change. I'm not familiar with this title, but will look for it and others you've mentioned.
