Great Monday Give: Beatrix Potter Collection

To celebrate the opening of my Etsy store (and by the way, I just posted new books on there today and marked some books down, and remember, buy four books or more and get a mystery book free!), and to usher in the holiday season, this week's Great Monday Give is gonna be a whopper. A set of ten books from the Beatrix Potter Tale of Peter Rabbit collection. (Somehow Jeremy Fisher didn't make it in the shot, but it's included as well.) Slightly oversized compared to the original small editions, these books are in like new condition, perfectly suitable for under-the-tree gift giving. All you have to do to be in the running to win these kids' classics is comment on this post before midnight CST ~ Sunday ~ Nov. 23. The winner will be announced the following day.

That said, the winner of last week's Give .... Petunia... is TRUPEACH, a southern belle after my own Carolina girl heart. (I grew up in Pawley's!)

Oh how I love me some Beatrix Potter! Thank you for being so generous and thank you for this blog...I have been looking for something like this for a long time. I love old children's books and some new ones too, but more than anything I love sharing them with my son Zade. He just turned three and he loves to read with me. Thanks to you and thanks to Green Jello for turning me onto your wonderful blog!

What a FABULOUS giveaway!!!! My little girl is a huge animal lover, and I just know she would adore Ms. Potter. I'm a Mrs. Tiggy Winkle fan all the way. *smile* I thought of this blog while thrifting the other day and walking home with a bag of books on each arm- one for me, and one for the munchkin.

I'd love to win this! My daughter's name is Beatrix, and when she was quite small she chewed all of our Beatrix Potter books beyond the point of readability...

My girls love the small size of these books, which we often check out from the library. We own a compliation edition, which is fine, but not read as often.

Oh - my memory bank instantly pulled up the "files" on how the slick shiny paper felt in contrast to the navy cloth covers of these wonderful wonderful books. And now I want to get my kid an oversize tam with a big pom-pom on top.

My granddaughter, Cecelia Jane, would love to have these read to her!

Wow--that's a lot of books. I love The Tailor of Gloucester. There's a jazzy folk song/dance that goes with it that my students performed last year.

I know it's too late to win these but I was reading through your blog and saw this post and absolutely had to comment.

I received this set of Beatrix Potter books when I was born. They were read to me so much that by the time I was four I had every word and page turn memorized. And even so 23 years later they are in absolute mint condition. I adore them so.

This blog is wonderful. I love vintage children's books.
